25/08/2005 Astute external communication system contract award EADS executives in Germany announced their Hagenuk Marinekommunikation subsidiary in Kiel will deliver three external communication systems for Britain’s Astute-class nuclear submarines. . Susanne Hartwein, spokeswoman for EADS Defense and Communications Systems in Ulm, said Aug. 24 that cost figures for the British Astute contract were not being disclosed.

10/06/2005 General Dynamics Awarded $21 Million for Submarine-Technology Development
GROTON, Conn. --- General Dynamics Electric Boat has been awarded three contracts worth a total of $20.5 million to develop submarine technology for a joint Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)/U.S. Navy program.
